Women are lionesses. By that I mean women can both love and hate fiercely one another. Women also possess the amazing ability to bond very deeply, support and nourish each other – but when hurt, boy can lionesses hate with vengeance. So, this song is about a lioness asking advice from other lionesses. Personally, I’d like to think I’ve become one of the tamer, tranquil ones.. just don’t use the word mature. I’m still a lioness, you know.

Lioness, lady Lioness
Can you teach me how
to care less

Lioness, mother Lioness
Teach me how
not to give a fuck
I think I’ve had enough

You roar
You claw
When someone gets too close
you never ever take any fault
A lioness cannot be called for

you roar
you claw
you roar
you claw

Lioness, sister Lioness
Show me how to stay
emotionless

Lioness, mrs. Lioness
You of all should know – best
yet you never learn

You roar as I claw
The weakest will fall
You roar as I claw
The weakest will fall

You’ll fall, the weakest will fall
Lioness, you’ll fall
